Two loans with the same rate can cost different amounts. Compare not the rate, but how much you'll repay to the bank in total.

Three numbers that matter more than the rate

  • Monthly payment: how much will leave your budget.
  • Overpayment: how much you'll give the bank above the loan amount.
  • Total to repay: the loan amount plus the overpayment.

What changes the total

  • Term. A longer term means a lower payment but a larger overpayment.
  • Repayment method. Equal payments (annuity) are more convenient; decreasing (differentiated) payments are cheaper overall.
  • Rate range. "From 18%" is the minimum, and the bank may offer more. Moliq calculates at the top rate so there are no surprises.
  • Fees and insurance. They aren't in the rate, so ask about them before signing.

The loan calculator helps you work out the payment and full schedule, and the catalogue, sorted by total cost, compares real bank offers.
