Your credit history is a file on all your loans and instalment plans. Banks use it to decide whether to lend to you. Check it at least once a year, and always before a large loan.

Who keeps your credit history

Banks, microfinance organisations and instalment companies report your loan data to credit bureaus. The main one is the state Credit Information Analytical Centre (CIAC, KATM). There is also a private bureau, Credit-Info Uzbekistan.

Where to get the report

  1. The my.gov.uz public services portal. Sign in with OneID and find the credit report service. Terms and cost are shown on the service page.
  2. The KATM app. The credit bureau's official app: your report, alerts about new loans in your name, and a ban on issuing loans.
  3. A bank. Staff can request a report using your passport. Ask your bank whether it offers this service.

What to check in the report

  • Unfamiliar loans and instalments. If you see a loan you didn't take, immediately call that bank and the police (102): scammers may have taken a loan in your name.
  • Overdue payments. Even a few days overdue hurts your history. Clear the debt and ask the bank for a certificate.
  • Closed loans. A repaid loan should be marked closed. If it isn't, contact the bank that reports the data.
  • Bank enquiries. Banks treat many applications in a short time as a warning sign.

A ban on loans

If you're worried someone may take a loan in your name without your knowledge, set a ban on loans in your name in the KATM app. When you need a loan, you can lift the ban there too.

How to improve your history

Pay on time, don't hold many small debts and don't apply to every bank at once. AI Credit helps you see how many loans you can afford, and My index helps you check your finances.
