How not to fall for scammers
Not in the CBU registry
Only banks, MFIs and pawnshops licensed by the CBU may lend in Uzbekistan. Not in the registry means no licence.
They ask for money upfront
"Insurance", an "approval fee", "account verification" before a loan is issued: that's how scammers work. A real organisation doesn't take prepayment.
They ask for an SMS code
An SMS code is your signature. With it, someone can take a loan or instalment plan in your name. Don't tell anyone, even a "bank employee".
They message you first on Telegram
Banks don't offer loans in private messages or send links to "quick approval". Use only the bank's official website or app.
They offer a "side job" with your card
Receiving a transfer and withdrawing cash for a percentage is a money-mule scheme. The card owner is liable, up to criminal charges.
