Three steps to check
- Find the organisation in the CBU registry. Enter the name or TIN in Moliq's check: we search the registries of banks, MFIs and pawnshops.
- Compare the TIN. The contract or website must show a TIN, and it must match the registry. Scammers often use a name similar to a real one.
- Check the address and contacts. A real organisation has an office and an official website. A Telegram chat and a card number for payment alone are a bad sign.
Red flags
- They ask for payment upfront: "insurance", an "approval fee", "account verification".
- They approve any amount "without checks" in five minutes.
- They ask for an SMS code or your full card details.
- There's no contract, only messages in a messenger.
If you've already paid
Keep the messages and receipts, call your bank on the number on the back of your card to block the card and dispute the payment, and contact the police (102).
